Defne was born in Istanbul and lived there, until she could no longer resist the desire to explore the world which had bubbled up to surface almost for 4 years ago.

 

Since then,  Defne has been traveling and working as a professional intuitive, perform spiritual psychic readings, teach meditation, and conduct workshops on the ancient art of coffee cup reading in various parts of the world, such as Thailand, India, Turkey, and the United States.

 

She has started her spiritual journey in Nong Khai, Thailand, where she spent 2 years before moving to the United States in June 2005. During this time in Thailand she has taken intensive Yoga classes as well as Reiki healing, Vippasana meditation, and later conducted meditation workshops and presented moment awareness trainings.

 

Defne  has a Master’s of Art degree in Sociology from Bogazici University in Istanbul,

At the moment she is a full time Yoga student and assistant teacher of Timo Jimenez at the YogaPada Yoga School in SE Portland, Oregon.
